Privacy, purchase terms & refunds

These policies apply to digital products purchased directly through plainlyprepared.com unless a product page or separate written agreement states different terms.

Purchase terms

Digital delivery

Plainly Prepared sells downloadable digital products such as guides, workbooks, spreadsheets, dashboards, checklists, templates, calculators and related files. After a confirmed payment, the purchaser receives access to the files included with that product. Download links may be time-limited for security. If a valid purchase cannot be downloaded, contact support and we will work to restore access or otherwise correct the delivery problem.

Payment processing

Payments are processed through Stripe Checkout. Plainly Prepared does not store complete payment-card numbers on this website. Prices are shown before checkout. Any taxes, if required and collected, are shown during checkout.

License and permitted use

Unless a product page or separate license says otherwise, a purchase grants the buyer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased files for the buyer's own personal, household or internal business use. Reasonable working or backup copies may be made for that use.

You may not resell, redistribute, publicly post, sublicense, share access to, republish, upload to a template marketplace, or otherwise make the files available to others as a competing or substitute product. You may not remove ownership notices or represent Plainly Prepared content as your own original product.

Product updates

A one-time purchase includes the files and version described on the product page at the time of purchase unless the offer specifically includes future updates. Future versions, add-ons, subscriptions, services or expanded editions may be sold separately.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site, checkout, download links or digital products for unlawful activity, fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, security testing without permission, or infringement of another party's rights.

Digital-product refund policy

Because digital products can be accessed or downloaded immediately after payment, purchases are generally final once delivery or access has been provided, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

We will review and, when appropriate, correct or refund purchases involving:

For the fastest review, contact support@plainlyprepared.com within 14 days of purchase with the purchaser email, product name and a short description of the issue. Change-of-mind requests after successful digital delivery are generally not refundable. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived.

Product scope and disclaimers

Plainly Prepared products are organizational, educational and productivity tools. They are designed to help users structure information, plan tasks, maintain records or make routine responsibilities easier to manage.

Unless a product expressly states otherwise, Plainly Prepared products are not professional legal, tax, accounting, medical, financial, engineering, inspection, code-compliance, insurance, construction or licensed-trade advice. Users remain responsible for decisions, professional consultations, manufacturer instructions, local requirements and conditions specific to their situation.

For home-maintenance products specifically, planning intervals and checklists do not guarantee that a property, system or component is safe, compliant, defect-free or suitable for continued use. More specific manufacturer instructions, local requirements and qualified professional guidance should control when they differ.

No guarantee of outcome

We work to make products accurate, useful and practical, but we do not guarantee a particular financial result, avoided expense, business result, property outcome, productivity improvement or other specific outcome from use of a product.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Plainly Prepared is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on a digital product. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing here excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Privacy notice

Information we receive

We may receive information you provide when you purchase a product, contact support, request a future system or opt in to practical updates. This may include your name, email address, order details, the problem or responsibility you describe, the closest category you select and your separate notification or newsletter choices. Stripe processes payment information on our behalf. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number through this storefront.

Our hosting and security providers may automatically process limited technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, request logs, timestamps and security signals when you use the site.

How we use information

We use information to process purchases, confirm payment, deliver purchased files, provide customer support, evaluate which practical systems and free resources may be useful, notify people who asked to hear about a related release, send optional practical updates to people who separately requested them, prevent fraud and abuse, secure the site, diagnose technical problems, maintain records and comply with legal obligations.

A request to be notified about one related system is not automatically treated as permission for a general newsletter. Newsletter permission is collected separately. You may withdraw either choice by emailing support@plainlyprepared.com.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the storefront. These currently include Stripe for payment processing and Cloudflare for hosting, security, file delivery and site measurement. Those providers process information under their own privacy terms and applicable agreements.

Your product data

Plainly Prepared does not receive the information you type into locally stored spreadsheets, workbooks, PDFs or other downloaded files unless you voluntarily send that information to support. You are responsible for protecting copies of your own completed files and any sensitive information you place in them.

Analytics and campaign attribution

We use limited first-party measurement to understand how the storefront performs. The site may record events such as page views, product views, product-link clicks and checkout starts. When a visitor arrives through a tagged campaign link, we may retain non-personal campaign fields such as UTM source, medium, campaign, content or term, the landing path and the referring hostname for the current browser session. This attribution is stored in session storage rather than a long-lived advertising cookie.

When a checkout is started, those campaign fields may be copied into the Stripe Checkout session metadata so a completed order can be attributed to the campaign that generated it. We do not place a buyer's name, email address or payment-card information into our campaign-attribution fields.

Cloudflare may also provide privacy-focused site analytics and performance measurement. We use the Pinterest tag to measure primary-page visits, catalog searches, product requests, checkout starts and completed purchases. A completed-purchase event includes a hashed order event ID, product details, purchase value, quantity and currency. Plainly Prepared does not send Pinterest a buyer's name, email address, payment-card information or raw Stripe Checkout session ID through this integration.

The Pinterest tag is configured not to create Pinterest first-party cookies or first-party local-storage entries on plainlyprepared.com, and it does not load when the browser signals Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Pinterest may still receive standard browser, device and network information when the tag is allowed to load and processes that information under its own privacy terms.

Retention and sharing

We keep information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including support, product research, requested notifications, fraud prevention, accounting and legal requirements. Product requests may be retained while the related idea is being evaluated and for a reasonable period afterward. Newsletter contact information is kept until the person unsubscribes or the address is removed as inactive. We do not sell personal information to advertisers. We may share information with service providers that help operate the business, when required by law, or as necessary to protect the site, customers or our rights.

Children

The storefront is intended for adults purchasing practical digital products. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13.

Privacy questions or requests

For questions about information associated with a purchase or support request, email support@plainlyprepared.com. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.

Changes to these policies

We may update these terms as products, technology or legal requirements change. The current version will be posted on this page with its updated date. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.
